Casa Bonita Hotel offers 12 deluxe guest rooms and one Ocean View Suite. Each room displays graphic art by conservation photographer Eladio Fernandez. Rooms feature white linens, palm wood accents, and wicker furnishings. Each room has air conditioning, ironing facilities, tea/coffee makers, a mini-bar, in-room safe, free toiletries, a refrigerator, a dryer, television, AM/FM alarm clock, telephone, flat-screen TV, and parquet floor. Some rooms come with a king-size bed, others with two queen-size beds, all include an iPod docking station and a private balcony with ocean views. Guests can choose between garden view, mountain view, or sea view rooms. Ocean views are featured from this collection of 12 modern cabins, the surrounding Sierra Barahuco mountains and the jungle.

Barahona's Natural Wonders

Casa Bonita is near Bahía de las Aguilas, a protected beach with white sand and crystal waters. The hotel is near Laguna de Oviedo, the second largest lake in the Dominican Republic, an ecological reserve home to iguanas, freshwater turtles, flamingos, pelicans, herons, and Florida ducks. The lagoon has 24 keys in the center and mangrove swamps, viewable by boat tour, and contains three islands (the largest called Isla Cabritos), scattered with iguanas. The lagoon is home to the breeding ground for the Antillean Manatee and the Juvenile Hawksbill. Cabo Rojo, with white sands and turquoise waters, is also nearby. The Bahoruco Beach right in front of Casa Bonita Hotel features some of the largest waves in the area.
