The Parador de Fuente Dé stands In the midst of the mountains of Picos de Europa National Park, near the cableway and at the base of the cableway that climbs up to Áliva viewpoint in the district of Liébana. Santander is 135 km away. Close by, Mogrovejo is a rural village declared a Historical Site which retains the charm of passing time in buildings such as a late 12th-century tower or the Monastery of Santo Toribio. The town of bridges and bullrings (especially that of the Infantado, where exhibitions can be seen today) and other small local mountain villages are nearby.
